I'm still here and those boletus shrooms was pretty delicious and safe to eat actually. Just had nothing interesting to post here so did not. I'm not that kind of a person that post everything everywhere just to satisfy one's attention thirst. Lot of such ppl lately.
Back to the point. How japanese will say, さてさて (Allright, let's see):
Had that kind of stuff here before, but it was built on UHF band (430MHz) and we all know that UHF is not a good while you're live in a forest. UHF is good for deserts and cities, but defenitely not for a forest areas, especially in a summer time. So I got myself an Anytone AT500M CB Radio (branded for russian market and named Track Barry) which is on 27MHz and put it to work.
Unfortunately, I have no proper 27MHz antenna on a rooftop now, so mounted and tuned mobile one on a balcony, which is on a half way altitude compared to a rooftop. Made some mobile test around nearby countryside roads where UHF performed poorly, and you know, CB just works as twice as better than UHF. Even with a fact that UHF setup had 3x5/8 full size antenna on a rooftop, feeded with low loss coax and 25W power output (licensed op here so relax). And UHF still beaten by poor CB radio setup, that is 1m length antenna (which is 1/10 wavelength short for 11m wavelength, compared to 1.3m antenna on UHF that is almost x2 longer than 70cm wavelength), and 8W power output. We all know that altitude is the key for UHF and it had it's key by being installed twice higher than a CB, but still. On top of all of that - you all know that you have to remove all obstacles in a near field of antenna which is at least half wavelength. That will be almost 5m for CB setup, and yes, my CB antenna mounted 2m aside of a concrete wall.
Flawless victory I should say. Wonder how CB will perform with a rooftop 7m long antenna like President Himalaya.
As a bonus, I found that Anytone AT500M output MOSFET works very efficiently and produce so little amount of heat, so that huge red cooler is a bit ovehead here, at least in a winter time where 23-25 ℃ is usual temperature for indoors.
